Texas Entrepreneurship Today reports on the working economy of Texas from the ground up. We start with the 254 counties, because that is where the state's businesses actually sit. Then the cities. Then the owners themselves, in their own words. Every piece names real businesses, shows its sources, and is written for readers who already know the place.
Who publishes this
Texas Entrepreneurship Today is published by Palmieri Enterprises, Inc., a Texas company. The publication is editorially independent of the company's other work.
Palmieri Enterprises, Inc. also operates an accounting and advisory practice serving business owners. When a piece cites that practice's published work, the piece says so in the text where the citation appears. It is cited only where it is genuinely the source, and never as a substitute for a primary one.
Editorial standards
We report from primary sources. Local facts come from the Handbook of Texas, county and city governments, the Texas Comptroller, public filings and records, and the published material of the businesses themselves, and every piece carries a visible list of what it used. When we quote someone, they said it, either to us or on the record somewhere a reader can check. We do not reconstruct quotes, we do not estimate a number and print it as a fact, and when something cannot be sourced we either leave it out or say plainly that it is not known.
We link out to the businesses and institutions we write about, because a reader should be able to check us in one click. Those links are editorial decisions made by us. They are never bought, never sold, never traded, and never a condition of being written about. Nobody pays to be profiled, nobody pays to be linked, and a business that asks for coverage in exchange for a link back does not get either.
We do not sell coverage and we do not run sponsored posts dressed as reporting. We check facts and quotes back with the people in a piece before it runs, but no subject gets approval over the piece itself.
Corrections
If we got something wrong, we fix it on the page and leave a dated note at the bottom saying what changed. Nothing is quietly edited after publication. This site does not have a contact page yet. A correction we can verify is fixed on the page, with a dated note.
